Are Clark’s Minerals different from other

Yes, substantially different for several reasons. Number one, and probably the most important  difference is the source. The deposit that was discovered in 1920 by Thomas Clark was  determined to be the mineral remains of an ancient rain forest, determined by the U.S. Dept. of The Interior to be from the Cretaceous Period, approximately 60 million to 127 million years old. Many believe the mineral rich plants of that time are characterized by the large dinosaurs who lived then.

These minerals were preserved because of a unique set of circumstances. Covering the deposit was only 20-30 feet of sandstone, enough to protect the deposit but not enough to cause excessive heat and pressure that would have altered the form of the minerals. At the bottom of the deposit is a very hard bed of clay which allowed the minerals to collect and  prevented them from leaching through and simply disappearing. Selections from various parts of the deposit are used to insure a balance of the various minerals and to form the exclusive  T.J. Clark product.
